Rain Forecast In Gujarat 2019 : The Severe Cyclonic Storm Kyarr is located over east central Arabian Sea (near 16.4N 71.5E), and has tracked west-northwestward at 7km/h during past 6 hours at 25/2330IST. Its max wind speed is 100 to 110 km/h, gust 120km/h. Kyarr will continue to track west-northwestward and develop over east central Arabian Sea this weekend.

It is likely to cause isolated heavy rain over coastal areas of Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra on Saturday. Strong wind is likely over east central Arabian Sea and adjoining west central Arabian Sea. Sea condition is very likely to be very rough to extremely rough over east central Arabian Sea.

Heavy rain over North Eastern India
A cyclonic circulation is located over Bangladesh and adjoining areas on Saturday morning. Southwesterly winds from Bay of Bengal will bring humid air over North Eastern India on Saturday. The cyclonic circulation and humid air will lead to instability and produce heavy rain and thunderstorms over the region.

24 hours precipitation accumulation of 50mm to 100mm is possible over North Eastern India on Saturday.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Telangana, coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms: Maharashtra, Goa, interior Karnataka.
Scattered rain and thunderstorms: West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Isolated rain and thunderstorms: Sikkim, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
Dry weather is likely over Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Rajasthan.

Sunday and Beyond

Kyarr may reach the equivalent of Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm over east central Arabian Sea on Sunday, and maintain that intensity on Monday. It may turn northward over west central Arabian Sea on Monday, and then gradually weaken into a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm on Tuesday.

An anti-cyclonic circulation is located over north Rajasthan and adjoining region, and dry weather is likely over Northern and Central India for the next 5 days.

On Sunday, heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely over Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms are expected over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Scattered rain and thunderstorms have been forecast over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Odisha, Maharashtra, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Isolated rain and thunderstorms are possible over Sikkim, West Bengal, Jharkhand, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh.


Dry weather is likely over Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan and east Madhya Pradesh.
